CAM Media, Inc. helped NAPA Auto Parts to raise $12,500 for the Wounded Warrior Project in 2009
Programs & Services
Backpacks
•Thousands delivered bedside to service men and women in military and VA trauma centers and hospitals
•Contents: comfortable clothes, playing cards, toiletries, CD player, calling cards, and more
Transitional Care Packs
•A smaller version of the Wounded Warrior Project Backpack, TCPs are sent directly to Iraq and Afghanistan to provide immediate comfort during a warrior’s relocation to a U.S. military trauma center
Benefits Counseling
•Provide guidance to navigate government benefits available to injured service men and women and their families
•Build a network of peers that provides aid, inspiration, and companionship
Family Assistance
•Subsidize family necessities during rehabilitation such as housing, food, day care, airfare and ground transportation for visiting family members at hospitals
Advocacy
•Provide injured service men and women a voice in local and national issues
•Ensure current legislative and government policies reflect sensitivity to the unique needs of our wounded warriors
•Wounded Warrior Law signed by President Bush in June 2005
Adaptive Sports
Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project
•Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project: partnership with Disabled Sports USA
•Helps wounded service men and women reclaim active, athletic lifestyle
•Sports include: outrigger canoeing, golf, water skiing, cycling, snow skiing and rock climbing
Wounded Warrior Project Outdoors
•Lifelong hobby to enjoy with family and friends
•Strengthen warrior and local communities
•Year-round activities include: hunting, fishing, archery, boating, camping and more
Lifetime Support
Wounded Warrior Project Alumni
•An avenue for communication, networking, sharing and camaraderie beyond the hospital room
Track
•Wounded Warrior Project’s education center is the first in the nation specifically for wounded warriors
•The 12-month program gives warriors a jumpstart on their educational goals
•Students enter as a team and continue through the program together, offering
the ideal environment for students at all ability levels •Focus on Mind Body Spirit
Warriors to Work
•Offers support to service members looking for civilian employment. Wounded Warrior Project works with participants individually during a job search, helping them connect with employers seeking qualified veterans
